The Faculty of Economics, Yogyakarta State University, and the Faculty of Economics, State University of Malang agreed on a cooperation agreement by signing a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA). The signing was carried out by the Dean of the Faculty of Economics, UNY, Dr. Siswanto, M. Pd., and the Dean of the Faculty of Economics, UM, Dr. Cipto Wardoyo, S.E., M.Pd., M.Sc., Ak., CA online on August 18, 2021.

In his initial remarks, the Dean of the UM Faculty of Economics, Dr. Cipto Wardoyo, S.E., M.Pd., M.Si., Ak., C.A. said that in the current era, education is not only required to focus on theory but also must be able to follow the development of the industrial revolution.

“Currently, the world of education is not only required to focus on theory but also needs to follow the development of the industrial revolution in the world of work, of course," said Cipto when delivering his speech.

The Dean of the Faculty of Economics, UNY, Dr. Siswanto, M. Pd. expressed his gratitude and was very grateful for the inter-institutional cooperation. The hope of this collaboration is very noble, namely, in addition to strengthening the brotherhood that has been established, it will also improve performance between institutions.

“Thank you to the Economics Education Study Program of UNY and the Economics Education Study Program of UM who have strengthened the brotherhood that has been established. Alhamdullilah, it is hoped that the initiation of the study program can be used as a record of the performance that has been carried out between study programs," said Siswanto.

In addition, each head of study program also welcomed the signing of the MoA, hoping to expand the areas of cooperation that have not been stated in the signed MoU. (roestam)
